Position Overview
The Secondary Level ICT Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and student-centered ICT and Computer Science lessons to secondary level students. The ideal candidate should be able to integrate technology into teaching and learning while fostering creativity, problem-solving, computational thinking, and digital literacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver interactive ICT lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
- Teach concepts related to computer science, digital literacy, coding, and emerging technologies.
- Promote project-based and inquiry-driven learning experiences.
- Integrate educational technology into classroom practices.
- Support students in developing computational thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Organize ICT-related competitions, exhibitions, clubs, and innovation projects.
- Maintain the ICT lab and ensure the safe and responsible use of technology.
- Assess and monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
- Participate actively in school programs, professional development, and co-curricular activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Teaching qualification or relevant educational training will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the secondary level (preferred).
- Sound knowledge of computer applications, programming fundamentals, networking basics, and educational technology.
- Familiarity with AI tools, robotics, coding platforms, and digital learning environments is desirable.
