Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling to students.
- Support students' social, emotional, behavioral, and mental well-being.
- Strong understanding of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) frameworks such as CASEL.
- Ability to design and implement SEL programs across grade levels.
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and school leadership to address student needs.
- Conduct awareness programs and workshops on topics such as mental health, emotional intelligence, personal safety, stress management, and positive relationships.
- Assist students in developing effective coping, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Maintain confidential student records and counseling documentation.
- Identify and provide support for students requiring additional intervention or referrals.
- Promote a positive and inclusive school culture.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology, Psychology, School Counseling, Mental Health, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant counseling experience, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and counseling skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
- Knowledge of child and adolescent development.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Professional integrity, empathy, and a student-centered approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an international or progressive educational environment.
- Training in child protection, safeguarding, social-emotional learning, or mental health support.
- Experience designing and conducting student well-being programs and workshops.
