A Guest Lecture on the Human Digestive System | Grades 6 & 7

Connecting classroom learning with real-world expertise

Our Grade 6 and 7 students had the wonderful opportunity to deepen their understanding of the Human Digestive System through an engaging guest lecture by our parent, Dr. Rukma Acharya.

Aligned with the Science and HPC curriculum, the session helped students explore the organs of the digestive system and understand the fascinating journey food takes as it is digested and processed by our bodies.

Beyond the classroom, the session provided students with the opportunity to learn directly from a professional, ask questions, explore scientific concepts in greater depth, and connect their academic learning with real-world expertise.

The interactive session encouraged curiosity and gave students a meaningful opportunity to look at their classroom learning from a professional perspective.

We are sincerely grateful to Dr. Rukma Acharya for generously sharing her knowledge, expertise, and valuable time with our students.

At IWS, we believe that meaningful learning happens when classroom knowledge connects with real-life experiences and expertise. Through strong collaboration between home and school, we continue to create richer, more engaging, and meaningful learning experiences for our students.
